The mission of First Baptist Millersville is to glorify God by equipping followers of Christ to reach a world in need.
How do we hope to do that?
We strive to make disicples through Meeting Jesus, Growing in Jesus, and Serving Jesus.
It is our desire that all people will meet Jesus and enter into a personal relationship with him through the forgiveness of their sins as secured by the gospel. At First Baptist Millersville, we want to help all people meet Jesus through personal interactions throughout the week and in our public gatherings on Sunday mornings at 10:30am.
Once a person has entered into a relationship with Jesus through the gospel and are regularly gathering with God's people for worship, we desire to help that person grow in their relationship with him. We have Sunday School at 9:30am in which we break into small groups to study portions of God's Word or topics relevant to the Christian life in order to encourage one another in our walk with Christ. In addition, we gather on Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm for a time of prayer and Bible study. These times of study are intended to help us deepen our understanding of God, his Word, and his gospel so that we grow in our relationship with him.
Church members who are regularly meeting with Jesus in worship and growing in their relationship with him are then encouraged to be serving both the church and our neighbors. We desire to be a church that serves our community and our world so that others may be able to meet Jesus and begin a personal relationship with him.
